Casting Your Fishing Rod in a Field! Its a Thing and Its Addictive | Kent Sportcast, Tilmanstone
Normally on a Sunday morning I’d be checking the wind direction, checking the tide times and going fishing but this Sunday was different. Like normal, I loaded my rods and reels into the car but today I was heading to a field outside of Deal near Tilmanstone to practice my casting with Kent Sportcast.
As I drove across the field I past white posts and flags marking out all the distances and I could see a row of parked cars at the far end. I got closer and could see a dozen or so people setting up there fishing rods ready to cast to the horizon. This is something I’ve never done before and I was a little nervous as I’m no big caster but everyone was super friendly and very helpful. After only my 1st cast I felt at ease and wanted to better my technique and cast further and with the help of everyone there I was learning some new things.
